General Questions
What is biological dentistry?
Biological dentistry takes a whole-body approach to oral health. We use biocompatible, metal-free materials and consider how dental treatments affect your overall wellbeing. This means no mercury amalgam, no metal implants, and careful attention to the connection between oral health and systemic health.
How is ndu Clinic different from a regular dentist?
We combine biological dentistry with functional medicine under one roof. Our approach considers the impact of dental materials and infections on your whole body, using only biocompatible materials and advanced diagnostics like 3D scanning and Orotox testing.
Where is ndu Clinic located?
We are at 22 Harley Street, London W1G 9PL, in the heart of London's medical district. The nearest tube stations are Oxford Circus and Regent's Park.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm. We are closed on weekends.
How do I book an appointment?
You can call us on +44 (0) 20 7935 5281, email contact@nduclinic.com, or use the contact form on our website. We recommend booking an initial consultation so we can understand your needs and create a personalised treatment plan.
Do you accept NHS patients?
ndu Clinic is a private practice. All our treatments are privately funded, which allows us to dedicate the time and resources needed for truly personalised, biological dental care.
Treatments
Is amalgam removal safe?
Yes, when performed correctly. We follow the IAOMT SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) protocol, which includes rubber dam isolation, high-speed suction, Swiss-made air filtration, a negative ion generator, and medical-grade air for the patient to breathe during the procedure.
What are ceramic implants?
Ceramic implants are metal-free tooth replacements made from zirconia, a biocompatible ceramic material. We use SDS (Swiss Dental Solutions) implants, which integrate naturally with bone tissue without the potential concerns associated with titanium metal implants.
What is a cavitation?
A cavitation (also called NICO, or Neuralgia-Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis) is an area of dead or dying bone in the jaw, often at the site of a previous tooth extraction. These can harbour bacteria and toxins that may affect systemic health.
What is the YSGG laser used for?
The YSGG laser is used for non-surgical periodontal (gum) treatment. It eliminates bacteria, promotes tissue regeneration, and allows treatment without incisions or sutures, resulting in faster healing and less discomfort than traditional gum surgery.
What is the Tooth Meridian Chart?
The Tooth Meridian Chart maps connections between individual teeth and organs or systems in the body. While not universally accepted in conventional dentistry, it is a diagnostic reference used in biological dentistry to understand how dental issues may relate to broader health concerns.
Do I need a root canal?
We take a thorough, biological approach to root canal assessment. Using 3D scanning (rather than standard 2D X-rays) and Orotox testing, we evaluate the full picture before recommending treatment. In some cases, alternatives such as ceramic implants or bridges may be more appropriate.
IV Therapy and Complementary Health
What IV infusions do you offer?
We offer nine infusions: Classic Myers Cocktail, Immunity Boost, Athletic Boost, Anti-Ageing, Energy Booster, Mood Support, Diet and Detox, Hair Restore, and Skin Lightening. A doctor consultation is required before your first treatment.
How long does an IV infusion take?
Most infusions take between 30 and 60 minutes. Your first visit will include a consultation with a doctor, including a physical examination and review of your medical history.
What is the Human Regenerator?
The Human Regenerator is an advanced therapy that supports your body's natural regeneration processes. It is used as a complementary treatment alongside our dental and functional medicine services.
